Tips for styling your family for your photoshoot

  1. Opt for Neutral Tones: Colours like white, cream, light blue, tan, olive, grey, and other neutral shades look best on camera and edit beautifully.
  2. Avoid Reds, Pinks, and Purples: These colours can accentuate the pink and red tones in your skin, which may be unflattering.
  3. Coordinate, Don’t Match: Instead of dressing everyone in the same colour, choose colours that complement each other. It's perfectly fine for each family member to wear different colours as long as they coordinate well together. Mix and match textures to add visual interest. Try to avoid logos and patterns such as stripes and polka dots.
  4. Avoid over complicating outfits with too many accessories, colours and patterns but choose simple classic outfits instead.
  5. Choose Comfort and Confidence: Find an outfit that you absolutely love and feel comfortable in. If you feel even slightly uncomfortable, it will show in the photos. Make sure you feel confident and comfortable with your outfit.
  6. Wear flowy dresses, they can look lovely in the wind to add movement to the image.
  7. Avoid baby clothing that doesn't cover their nappies.
